Another top 10 performance!
The Reynolds Cup is a biennial round-robin competition held by the Clay Minerals Society for quantitative mineralogical analysis on clay-bearing type samples.
Thanks to the continuing improvements in our methodologies, commitment to research and investment in state-of-the-art instrumentation, we are delighted to announce our 2nd consecutive top 10 placement, coming in 9th this year.
These excellent results have been achieved using only X-ray Diffraction (XRD) and Inductively Coupled Plasma Spectroscopy (ICP).
The table opposite illustrates our results in the hydrothermally altered shale.
The 2020 competition comprised 97 participants from 23 countries, including independent companies, universities and other research bodies, of which 76 of the participants returned the results.
“If you are considering getting a mineral analysis of a clay-bearing sample from any type of laboratory, and where accuracy is important, simply ask the lab where they have placed in the Reynolds Cup”
